He was born June 25, 1925 in Brantley, Alabama, the son of the late Dalton and Ruth Hemby.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters Annie Belle and Gladys, his two brothers Robert and Billy and his grandson Jacob.
He spent 24 years in the Army and retired as a Master Sgt. on May 21, 1968. He spent the rest of his working career as a pharmacy technician. He enjoyed the Cowboys (and secretly the Redskins), basketball, milkshakes, hot McDonald’s fries and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Aubrey is survived by his four children Linda Early (Jeff), Annette Wise (Billy), Jeanette Chandler (Shane) and Lawrence Hemby, five grandchildren, Jami Nichols (Jeff), Cory Chandler (Ashlee), Aaron Sowinski, Craig Chandler (Erica) and Sam Early (Amos) and also by six great-grandchildren, Devin, Jordan, Tucker, Tanner, Savannah and Josephine.
