RETZMER, Carol, J., age 82, of Bloomfield, NJ, died peacefully on September 27, 2023, at a Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, VA, due to natural causes. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, she worked in the banking industry for decades, eventually retiring at Wells Fargo Bank. Carol loved visiting the NJ beach and swimming at the local pools. Carol was predeceased by her lifelong partner Leonard "Lenny" Wasserson of Maplewood, NJ, and sister Marilynn Hein of Bergen County, NJ. She is survived by her nephew Greg Nagurka and great-nephew and great-niece Lucas & Sofia of Huntsville, AL. The interment will be privately held at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
