

Christy Mackinnon Mayrs Robinson, 52, wife of Chad Robinson, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 29th, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and animals after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Christy was a proud resident of Montross, VA. She was a lifelong Canadian citizen who was born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and grew up on her family cattle and maple syrup farm in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada. Immigrating to Virginia. in 2023.
Early in life Christy was a proud stay at home mom to her two children. Volunteering at all school events, PTA events. While the kids were in school, she enjoyed working at the local ski hill Boler Mountain and as the greens keeper at Green Hills Golf Course. She was also an avid lifelong equestrian who loved spending extra time at the barn with the girls. Everyone that knew her knows that her passion was her animals.
After arriving in the U.S. Christy worked at Stratford Hall Preserve as head gardener and volunteered her time at spring and fall events. She also loved working as a server at Angelo’s Catering in Montross. Christy loved spending time in her community, being at the beach, boating, riding her horse, social events, spending time with her friends and being on her farm tending to her beloved animals.
She is survived by her husband Chad Robinson; father Hugh Mackinnon (Wendi); stepfather Cecil Blackburn; sister Angela McNabb; daughter Keagan Mayrs; son Grady Mayrs; daughter in law Chloe; stepdaughter Caitlyn Pagella (Derek); granddaughter Salem June Pagella and many loving cousins, family and friends. Most of all her thoroughbred Addison. Donkey’s Dixie, Jeb and Hutchinson. Dogs Pearl and Chet. Cats Sam, Heminway and Ellie May. And all the other critters that showed up on the farm. Christy was preceded in death by her loving mother Penny Snead Blackburn, amazing grandmother Helen Snead and beloved canine Gabby.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life for Cristy at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at Providence UMC, Montross, VA.
Flower orders are to be delivered to the church directly.
