

Dwayne was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He spent his childhood raised in the church under the guidance of his grandparents Velma & Charlie Williams. He played the trumpet and eventually football earning the title of the “THE WALL”.
He moved to Virginia in 1996. By 1999 he began one of many careers and met some of the best people he continued to call his friends to this day. He was famous for his gumbo, potato salad, fried fish and lasagna but even more so he loved food. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom cherishing every moment spent with loved ones.
One truly special friendship was our Joe Kirby. His best friend and confidant. The two of them was like watching our own comedy show.
Dwayne was a devoted father to Sean & Kayden spending many weekends involved in sports and their life activities. He was so very proud of his sons and his legacy will carry on through them.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, Velma & Charlie Williams; mother, Karen Williams; and father, Paul Dawson.
Dwayne is survived by his children, Sean Williams and Kayden Williams; their mother, Jennifer Williams; brother, Charles Williams; nephew, Elijah Williams; uncle, Carl Williams; uncle, Clyde and Bernadette Williams; uncle, Bruce & Pauline Williams; uncle, Glen Williams; plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.

A visitation for Dwayne will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401, followed by a celebration of life at 5:00 PM.
