Elmo Scott Proffitt

Elmo Scott Proffitt, 83, of Spotsylvania passed on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. His survived by his wife Joyce Franck Proffitt of 57 years, two daughters Terry profit Moore (Chad) and Ann Proffitt Dodson(Chuck): grandsons Brandon (Kelly) and Jeremy (Mercedes) and granddaughter Kiersten: great grandchildren Nathan, Tyler, Sean, Cadence and Brantley; 2 step grandsons and 3 step granddaughters. A sister Phylliss Proffitt Hunter; a brother Vivian Lyell Proffitt; a special nephew George E. Pennington (Katie) their three daughters and a very special pet Mollie. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles H. Proffitt and Dorthy Dickinson Proffitt, three brothers Henderson, Randolph, and Florian (Goofy). The family will receive friends on Friday April 29, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Mullins and Thompson funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with a Memorial Service to be held at Good Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jerry Hall of Fellowship Baptist Church and Pastor Jeff Parsons of Spotsylvania Baptist Church.
