

He was the husband of Christa Howard Southall. They shared almost 57 years of marriage together. They loved living at Lake Anna for the past 7 years. They lived on Millwood Court in Spotsylvania for 30 years prior to moving to their Lake Anna retirement home. Henry used to say it was their 50th wedding gift to each other.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christa; two sons, Roger (Tammy) Southall of Culpeper and David (Ashley) Southall of Spotsylvania; daughter, Kristin (Daniel) Hunter of Spotsylvania; sister, Linda (Herbert) McCann of Dinwiddie, VA; three grandsons, Roger, Scott and Henry Southall; one step-granddaughter, Emmalyn Boone and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born In Petersburg, VA on June 27,1947, he was the son of Harold and Helen Southall. He graduated from Petersburg High School. Henry was employed by Virginia Department of Transportation for 43 years.
Henry attended the Point Church in Louisa, VA. He had a zeal for the Lord and loved studying and teaching the Word. He had many favorite scriptures but one that described him was Philippians 1:21, “for to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Family, friends, and others are invited to a funeral service at the Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, to be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 3pm with the family receiving friends and family an hour prior to the service, and a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Point Church's local reach efforts. Checks can be made payable to "The Point Church" with memo line: "Local Reach" and mailed to The Point Church, 155 Hansen Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
