He was born on December 8, 1958 in Fredericksburg, VA the son of the late Carl W. Garrison and Virginia Gail (Craun) Garrison. Sonny dedicated much of his life to making music and his passion was playing the drums. He worked as a HVAC technician, was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include his two daughters, Holly N. Tate and husband Keith of Woodbridge and Carley M. Garrison of Stafford, VA; one brother, Shayne Garrison and wife Barb of Orange, VA; one sister, Kim Garrison of Bridgewater, VA; two grandchildren, Ava and Zoe Tate.
