She was preceded in death by her son Bobby Jordan, Father Dr. Henry N. Merritt Sr, Mother Donie Annie Lee and Stepmother Bess C. Merritt.
She is survived by her daughter Debbi Garland of Chester, VA, brother Dr. Henry N. Merritt and his wife June of Fort Lauderdale FL, nephew Lance Merritt and his wife Tara of Orlando FL.
She loved music and listened to B101.5 everyday and enjoyed having conversations with radio personality “Trapper”. Her favorite song was “Build Me Up Buttercup”.
She also loved animals and had many over the course of her life.
