

On March 25, 2023, Jack Leipold, a retired US Navy veteran that served in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War, peacefully passed away surrounded by his adoring family.
Born on March 16, 1947, in Baltimore, Jack was the eldest son of the late Marilyn and John Leipold Jr. Growing up alongside seven sisters and one brother, Jack developed a strong bond with his family. At the young age of 17, he enlisted in the Navy, serving for 20 years. The skills and values he gained during his military career laid the foundation for his future successes.
Jack was renowned for his unwavering love and commitment to his family, particularly his wife of 47 years, Linda, and his children, Jackie, Christopher, Meredith, and Shannon. His fondest memories were made at Lake Gaston, North Carolina, where he reveled in the company of his loved ones.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Jack's absence will be deeply felt by his family. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through them, and he will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
A funeral service for Jack will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. Following the funeral service will be a burial at 1:00 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
