She is survived by children, Jennie McAfee Wildermuth (David), Pennie McAfee and Roy McAfee; sister Nancy Rankin (Don); grandchildren, Eric Wildermuth, April McAfee Herlitz, Jane McAfee Jarrett, Duncan E. McAfee and Elizabeth McAfee; great- grandchildren, Gavin E. Herlitz, Isabel Herlitz, Evan Wildermuth and Cohen Wildermuth; niece Judy Hallman and nephews, Jay and Ned May.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Ralph E. McAfee; sister Estelle Dunn May and daughter- in- law Linda Wagner McAfee.
She was born in Bowling Green, Virginia and then moved to Fredericksburg. While in Fredericksburg, she was a long time member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a child care provider out of her home. As a volunteer, she was a plane spotter for the Army during WWII. She later worked as a C&P Telephone operator. Her main devotion was always to her family.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at her home te weekend before Easter.
