Melina was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose strength, compassion, and fierce love shaped the lives of everyone around her. She was the beloved mother of nine children—Josiah, Jeremiah, Jace, Jacoby, Ella, Elsie, Jaben, Janoah, and Joram—each of whom carries forward her resilience, her fire, and the deep care she gave so freely.
Fearless and determined, Melina was never afraid to take risks or speak her mind. She met life with fierce loyalty, a wicked sense of humor, and a deep capacity for love. Her laughter was contagious, and her honesty—delivered with a sparkle in her eye—reminded everyone around her to live bravely and love big.
She faced her illness with incredible grace and strength, holding fast to her humor and the people she loved most. Her presence was a force, and her legacy lives on in the hearts and lives of her children and everyone who knew her.
Melina is survived by her children; her parents, Richard and Laura Vossel; her sister Chrissy; her brother Josh; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family. She is deeply mourned by countless friends who will never forget her laughter, her strength, and her love.
A memorial service will be held on July 31, 2025 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service at 10 AM visitation, 11 AM service, where all who knew and loved Melina are welcome to gather in celebration of her life.
