November 22, 1965 ~ June 16, 2023
A premature baby, born to Robert and Donna Hancock, grew in height, strength, knowledge, and life experience. Little brother to Nanc, Jane, and Linda, Mike grew into a deeply treasured friend of each sister. This blue-eyed lad with a flutter in his heart grew into a devoted husband of 37 years whose every heartbeat was for PJ. The son became a husband, then father to Michael and Patrick, now “Grandpa “to Riley, Clyde, Hugo, and Dexter. A skinny recruit learned, worked hard, and became a Marine who gained trust and respect from those with whom he served as a patriot. Mike was with the US Marine Corps for 40 years. He lived and breathed God, Family and Country.
An honest seeker of truth, Mike grew into a sincere and humble man of God, serving 25 years with the Foursquare denomination, 20 of those as Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel. Mike, PJ and sons with the church family not only planted Hope Chapel but established the Hope Center and Soup Kitchen in the community. Love grew strong in Mike. He learned and more and more he lived these words: three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.
