Mildred Denise Morris, daughter of Ronnie B. Trueheart and Virginia (Betts) Wilcox, was raised by her mother and stepfather Johnny Lee Wilcox.
Mildred graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 1981. She won the Miss Fredericksburg pageant in 1980. She loved tennis, roller-skating and the Washington Redskins. Her personality could light up any room she stepped into. She was always known to be the life of any and every party. Mildred was nothing less than a people person.
In 1980 she met the love of her life Franklyn L. Morris Sr., and they married on February 2nd, 1985. From this union two children were born Franklyn and Tiffany.
Mildred was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Virginia and Johnny Wilcox; her sister Faith Betts and father Ronnie Trueheart.
She is survived by her loving husband, Franklyn L. Morris, Sr.; one son, Franklyn L. Morris Jr. (Shana) of Ruther Glen, VA; one daughter, Tiffany Morris of Spotsylvania, VA; two grandchildren Franklyn L Morris III and Mary Denise Morris; a sister Le’Cresa W. Goolsby (Delano); niece and nephew, Delek and Deleka Wilcox; great niece Khaliyah Martin; special friends, Doris Noel, Alicia Motley, Evelyn Brown, Barbara & Karen Lewis, Patricia & Joseph Brown, Dellareese & Tammy Morris, the Fredericks Place Posse and a host of cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024 from 12:00-1:30pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, VA.
