Nettie Christine Jones Deel

A memorial Service will be held March 4, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 11107 Wavelane Drive, King George, Virginia 22485 at 2: 00p.m

Interment will follow later for the immediate Family at the Saint Benedict Monastery Cemetery, 9535 Linton Hall, Virginia 20136.

She was born on July 30, 1938, in Manassas Virginia to the late Dr Jacob Walter Jones and Bertha Virginia (Woolfrey) Jones. She grew up in Manassas, Virginia. Married to the late Orbia Grayson Deel of Haysi, Virginia on December 5, 1952.

She is survived by her seven (7) children Philip C. Deel, Dian Gay (James) White, Anice Faye (Scott) Ostrom, Gerald Orbia (Melissa) Deel, Audrey Lynn Deel Schultz, Michael Lee Deel and Danielle Jones Deel. 18 Grandchildren Chasity (Wendall) Callicot, Chrissy (Thomas) Huddleston, late Ryan Scott Ostrom KIA, Wade Collett Browne, III, Charlotte Magner, Charles Magner, Jr, Mandy-Lynn (Len) Ostrom Yoder, Cheri Lynn Ostrom, Albert Deel, Derik Lee Ostrom, Ian (Natalie) Deel, Brandon Deel, Christian Deel, Alex Deel, Colin (Josephine) Deel, Richard Manning Grayson Schultz, Faith Arrington Schultz, April Deel and had 9 Great Grandchildren. Her Nephew Gary William (Melanie) Martin, Lindsey (Nicholas) Martin Becker and Corey Martin. Her Dog Snowball.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of King George Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her late Sister Mattie Virginia (Jones) Martin-Rose, late Brother in-law Jack Wayne Martin, brother-in-law Cecil Rose of Colonial Beach, Virginia.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Rappahannock Community College. Enjoyed volunteering at her Children’s school growing up, held multiple positions in Relief Society and loved the primary program at church. Worked at People’s Drug Store, 7-11 Store Manager, National Institute of Health (NIH), Matties Flower Box, The Four Seasons of Dahlgren, and volunteered at local food banks. Enjoyed gardening and her Flowers, Avid Genealogist her whole adult life and enjoyed shark tooth hunting and eating crabs with her Family.
