Peter Pouliot

He was born September 4, 1943 to Roland J. Pouliot and Lillian Delisle Pouliot of Ashburnham, MA. He was a longtime resident of Ashburnham, where he worked for the Highway Department and served as a volunteer fireman. Peter married Linda Pedini in 1963. They had two daughters, Dina and Laurie.

In 1985, Peter married Nancy Kaufmann, and they moved to Fredericksburg, VA. Peter worked for the Fredericksburg Traffic Department for 20 years until the effects of Parkinson’s forced his retirement in 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pouliot of Fredericksburg; two daughters, Dina Pouliot of Fredericksburg and Laurie Pouliot of Gardner, MA; two brothers, Norman Pouliot of Seattle, WA and David Pouliot of Mineral; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends who will miss his engaging smile and easy going personality.

Peter’s life will be celebrated at a gathering for the family and friends at his home from 3 to 6 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Peter’s cremains will be buried in Massachusetts.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or Mary Washington Hospice in Fredericksburg.
