Robert Edward Leacock

Bob was born in Fredericksburg, VA, February 1930 to William P. and Fannie T. Leacock. He was the younger of two children and a cousin that was raised as his brother from the age of three. He lived his whole life in Fredericksburg, and spent countless hours enjoying his two favorite pastimes, golfing and fishing.

Bob served in the Marine Corp, was married and had 3 children, divorced and never remarried. He had many jobs but, worked the last and longest, at approximately 30 years, with Wheeler & Thompson/Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Fredericksburg. One of the most valued achievements in his life was his sobriety. He was one month short of 40 years.

Bob is survived by his children and grandchildren, Steve Leacock and his children, Jesse and Cami Leacock; Becky Lynn Givens and husband Randy Givens, their children Matthew and Max Givens; Denise (Dee Dee) Miles and husband Nat Miles, their children Aidan and Kinley Miles. He is also survived by a cousin Earle Greene and wife Rose Marie Greene, their children Earle Jr., Alan, and Nadera; two nieces Wanda Brooks and Sara Cisneros; and a long-time best friend Johnny Shiflett.

Funeral service is being held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 at Noon. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.

Bob lived through many hardships, reclaimed his life and, paid it forward.
