

Thea was born on March 26, 1924 in Seneca, South Dakota to the late Randall A. and Delia Lucinda (Hanson) Potter.
Predeceased by her parents Randall and Delia Potter, her husband George, and her sister Dorthy Roseland.
She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Seneca High School in Latham Township. During WWII, she helped her parents on the farm and attended Aberdeen Business College. She worked for Todd Pacific Shipyard and Crucible Steel Company in Seattle, Washington.
On June 15, 1948, she married George Pickett of Twin Falls, Idaho at the United Methodist Church in Seneca, South Dakota. They lived in Oregon, New Mexico, and Arizona, retiring in Payson, Arizona on May 1, 1981.
She was a member of Payson United Methodist Church, a volunteer and aide at the Julia Randall School, and an active member of NARFE.
Survivors include two sons: Bob Pickett (son) and Terry Pickett, Paul Pickett (son), four grandchildren: Nina (granddaughter) and Brian Alexander, Melanie (granddaughter) and Bryan Dove, Toby (grandson) and Candace Pickett, Doyne (grandson) and Tammy Pickett, and eight great grandchildren: Samantha Alexander, Eathen Alexander, Emily Alexander, Deacon Pickett, Danica Pickett, Summer Dove, Dexter Pickett, and Heidi Pickett
Services will take place at a later date in Arizona.
