Thomas Herman Schlager

After a 3 year hard fought battle with cancer, Thomas H. Schlager passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife of 50 years by his side. Thomas was born on April 17, 1947 to the late Herman and Jessie Schlager in Utica, New York. He is survived by his wife Diem Schlager; two sons, Liem Schlager (Katja), Dung Ho (Ngoc Nhon); two daughters, Susan DeLeva (Joe), Sandy Jahngen (Matt); two brothers, Bill Schlager (Cathy), Jim Schlager (Donna); one sister, Mary DeRosia (Cliff). Thomas was the proud “Papa”to nine grandchildren, Justin Schlager, Jessica Schlager, Emily Schlager, Liam Schlager, Camryn DeLeva, Kadyn DeLeva, Sean Schlager, Brandon Jahngen, Kaila Jahngen; and two great grandchildren, Leon Schlager, Belle Schlager. Further survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews A visitation for Thomas will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. A funeral service will occur after the visitation at 11:00 AM and the committal service will follow at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
