Verna Elizabeth Wagner

She was born on October 24, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating from St. Mary’s High School.

Verna was a loving wife and mother, sharing her caring nature with others by providing childcare throughout her life. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception of Fredericksburg. She loved reading, playing Hoyle card games and keeping up with family and friends through social media.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Fred C. Wagner, Jr.; daughters Lisa Wenninger (Jim) of Clayton, NC, Lori Nicholson (Paul) of Woodbridge, VA, Kathleen (Kathy) Puglisi of Ocean City, MD, son Adam Wagner and his wife, Megan, who cared for her in her final years, of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Delores (Dee) West of Pittsburgh, PA; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Irene Porter of Pittsburgh, PA.

She will be dearly missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
