I didn’t know you, but I knew your father.  In searching for information about your Dad, I was disheartened to see your obituary.  I want you to know that if you were anything like him, you were a very fine man.  I consider him one of the finest men I ever knew.

Well wally destiny birthday was the fourth and Christians the 10 and on ur birthday which fell in the middle I sat down and told u happy birthday and how we all missed you I hope u had fun up there

 This was so hard to do son, but I did what you asked me to do. The tree is up and lights are glowing,and I placed red roses just for you. Snowflakes and icicles hang silently and still, as the candles flicker with flame. Instead of a star, there's a hand made cross, and I placed it in your name.I know you hear our prayers, and see our heart felt tears. Please understand the pain we feel, as we look back through the years. If I had one wish, that wish would be. That we all could be together, and gather round the tree. I dedicate these words to you, and thoughts I can't express. I miss you so much son, and my heart is forever shattered, this truth I do confess. Our Dear Little Wally, Thats what we have called you since the day you were born. You was so cute as a baby and grew up to be a handsome man.One of my fondest memories of you was that you had an obsession with hats. Any kind of hats, baseball hats, football helmets,Davie Crockett coon skin hats with a tail and of course a cowboy hat. The hat that was the funniest was an old handkie of Grandpa Halls and you made a hat out of that. You was so cute dancing around with a handkie on your head. Little Wally, you have been givin yet another hat to wear and that is the Crown from our Father in heaven. We love you very much Little Wally and you will be greatly missed by everyone who know you. My memories of my nephew Wally are before he was born and as a young boy. My sister and I were expecting our first borns together. Wally, did you continue to love Sweet-Tarts during your life because your mother craved them when you were on the way. Wally was a beautiful boy who came to us just after the 4th of July, pretty special time of year!!

 Wally played with my Amy and Adam at family gatherings. He was a very good boy, handsome, full of life and occasionally "just plain full of it"!! A family trait!

I remember Grandpa Hall spinning his "TALES" to Wally and the other grandkids. They were so real and convincing that Wally and Adam went to school and retold the stories for show and tell with a straight face...and there were phone calls from teachers too!

Our hearts are broken that you crossed over at such a young age. We believe that you are now wrapped in a cocoon of loving family arms to heal, protect and welcome you home again. We will miss you greatly and always keep you in our hearts until we are also called home and you will be there to welcome us. Life is a learning lesson Wally, we all have different lessons to learn while we are here. God is a loving, forgiving God and he welcomes you home.

Thank you for being you and choosing to be a part of our family on your earthly journey. We will all meet again nephew. God bless and keep you until then.

For those who didnt know i worked with wally after being friends with him for many years before we worked together.but the company we worked for had wally wire that log cabin we all see that just dont fit at fredricksburg central park.we worked for exspress electric then.so every time you ride past that log cabin at night and you see those lights on there just know wally drilled every hole,pulled every wire,and screwed in every light fixture.thats him reminding that he was there cause he did 90% of that job by his self at special requist of the boss man on the job.and for those that are unlucky enough to visit the stafford reginal jail thats where we worked together we ran alot of wires in that place,so if you mess up and your setting in the cell when you look up thank wally for shining a light on you during a dark hour of your life.i just had to share this with all.

Wally we had some good times my friend.you tought me alot about electrical work as well.i will see you again when my time here is done.until then find a good fishen hole there.

We were so sad to hear about the untimely death of your son.  Though we weren't privileged to know him we know he was deeply loved and that he will be sorely missed. Wally touched my heart.  While we were all such close friends - our children also were close to one another. Leslie and Wally were such good friends while we lived in Stafford. She really cared for him, and their friendship was so good for both of them.  It 
was difficult to leave Stafford because because we loved all of you so much.   How sad is it that his life was taken so early.  Since our family has experienced the death of Bill, my husband, and the father of my children, life has been difficult.  You move on, but understanding why is so difficult.  Try to remember the good in Wally.  Why he died is not as important as his life.  His two sons is such an accomplishment.  We enter this life with no promises.  Bill always said he did not believe God gave him cancer.  He said, "I experienced life, and by doing so I developed cancer." As Wally lived he touched lives, as he did ours.  I just feel sad this had to happen.  May your lives be blesses as you  continue on.  Please know that our family loves you all.  Linda West

The lost of a family member is never easy, specially one that is so young. Wally is loved and will be terribly missed by all. In my heart I know he is in a better place and is being looked after.

I am wally's cousin Jeri Ann, and kimmie's niece. You are in am prayers . wally was a great person . we up together and he was a devoted dad and hasband , wally will be missed .

Tribute to Wally Odd

Wally's life and our memories of him will live on in each and every one of us. We all have trials and tribulations that we deal with as we go through life and we all deal with them in different ways. Wally had his fair share of ups and downs and he handled them the best he knew how, but what he had that most of us don't is a heart the size of Wyoming. He was so generous to his family and friends. If someone needed a helping hand he would drop everything to lend a helping hand. I remember one time I couldn't get a ceiling fan to work right. I mentioned it to him and he stopped by the house that evening and got it working properly. He was an excellent electrician. He could wire a fan, a pump, or an entire house. He could do it all. Anytime I needed a hand he was there to help.

Along with his huge heart was a beautiful smile that made all the ladies weak in the knees. He would light up any room he walked into with his smile and fun-loving personality.
Everyone liked Wally.

The good-natured essence of Wally's soul and personality has been passed on to his sons. Both Codee and Brandon are excellent young men with bright futures. I'll always fondly remember times spent with Wally and his sons grilling and playing games. As I look at pictures of Wally and his boys, I see the tenderness and love he has for his sons.

Wally's life was way too short but he did manage to pack a lot of life into his brief time on earth. Wally brought a tremendous amount of joy into the world and now that he is gone he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I'll always fondly remember the man with a heart the size of Wyoming.

Wally was always part of my fondest memories at Camp Goshen with everybody.

Wally you gave me the greatest gift in these 2 wonderful grandchildren. My prayer is that you are at peace and that you watch over your boys and guide them on their journey through life pointing them toward the right path. Wally, when I think of the Odd family, I have often thought of our good times together as close friends.  It's been many years since we have seen each other, but I will always remember our laughs, talks and good times.  You had a heart of gold and had so much potential for your life.  It was cut much too short... May you be wrapped in the arms of those that love you as you await those you love that are still here.  You will be missed.

Words cannot express the loss I feel for the only brother I never had!!  You were always there for me, no matter what....... I just wish I could have done the same.  I'm so sorry I failed you.  You had a tough life cousin,  but you always had a warming smile for everyone. You had a good heart and would have done anything for anyone.  Family meant the world to you, and I'm proud to say that I am your cousin and friend!!    I know deep down, that you have finally found peace.
I will always remember you and smile at the great times we had together growing up:  trick-or-treat eggings, high-school football games, the way you wanted to beat up all my boyfriends, LOL- and so so much more!!!
