A Celebration of Life with a potluck brunch will be held at Carrington Baptist Church on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Cookie was born on September 28, 1960 in Fulton to the late George and Virginia Johnson Spencer. She was married on October 13, 1988 to James Howley in Melvern, Kansas and he survives.
Cookie enjoyed taking motorcycle rides and collecting and learning about anything that had to do with Native American history.
She was a member of Carrington Baptist Church and her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Cookie is also survived by one daughter, Natasha Kennon and her husband, Orrey of New Bloomfield, Missouri; brothers, Jerry Spencer and Herbert (Betty) Spencer; step-brother, Everett Salmons; two granddaughters, Willow and Aurelia Kennon along with many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Cookie was also preceded in death by her son, Waid Jacob Howley; sister, Linda Henderson and brothers, Alfred, Ralph and Kenny Spencer.
