

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Howard was born November 16, 1924 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Frank and Celia Becks Baker of Chicago, Illinois and they preceded him in death.
He graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1942 and attended Northwestern University. He was a World War II Veteran and member of the Army Air Corps.
Howard was a member of the United Methodist Church in Olympia Fields, Illinois and a founding member of South Suburban Archaeology Society.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Gwenyth Baker; three children, Gail Baker Nolan of South Bend, Indiana, Nancy Baker Hux of Fulton and Doug Baker of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; six grandchildren, Andrew Nolan, Sarah Nolan Adams, Derek Hux, Erin Hux Bolyard, Jocelyn Baker and David Baker; seven great-grandchildren, Jaina Adams, Christopher Adams, Johnathan Adams, Lexi Hux, Lillian Hux, Kenneth Bolyard IV and David Bolyard.
