

She was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Fulton, the daughter of the late William and Lottie (Harris) Morris. On Oct. 7, 1933, she was married to Raymond J. Salmons in Fulton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1999.
She is survived by three sons, Orivell (Helen) Salmons and Lain (Patricia) Salmons both of Fulton, and Douglas (Glenda) Salmons of New Bloomfield; one daughter, Shirley (Hugh) Staats of Fulton; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter Elvira Hockemeyer; two brothers, Elwood Morris and Charlie Morris; and one sister, Virginia Morris.
Julia was a homemaker. She was a member of Church Of God Holiness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
