

Linda was born on January 6, 1948 in Fulton, MO the daughter of William “Bill” and Anna (Barnes) Witt who preceded her in death. She met her husband, Troy in 1966 at the World’s Fair in Mokane, MO, they were married on August 4, 1967. She was employed at Lays Café in Kingdom City, MO, Aramark in Fulton, MO for 24 years and then at William Woods University for 6 years. In her younger years, she enjoyed paint by numbers. Her and Troy enjoyed Sunday road trips, walking on nature trails, fishing and traveling in their travel trailer together. Her favorite TV channel is MeTV and also enjoyed judge shows, her favorite being Judge Judy. In her spare time, she worked on Word Search puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: her husband, Troy Winingear of the home; one son, Troy Richard Winingear of Willard, MO; one daughter, Melinda Kay Jones (Victor) of New Bloomfield, MO; one brother, Louis Witt; two nieces, Fay Allderice (Evan) and Sharon Scheele and several other nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Stamper, Karen Jean Reed and one brother, William “Sonny” Witt.
Private family services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
