

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Ashland, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Nellie was born October 10, 1923 in Hepsey, Arkansas to John and Emily James Cain and they preceded her in death. She was married to Floyd Johnson on September 20, 1941 in Ashland and he preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fulton. She taught Sunday School, Bible School and also served as the leader of Sunbeam Mission Friends at Millersburg Baptist Church. Nellie enjoyed craft work and quilting.
Nellie followed her husband, Floyd during World War II wherever he was stationed. When her husband was shipped to Guam, she returned to Jefferson City where she worked in a Defense plant until the war ended and Floyd returned home. She had worked at both shoe factories in Fulton and then at Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton as a cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara McGee of Rocky Mount, Missouri; grandchildren, Shannon (Jennifer) Baumgartner of Millersburg, Sheila (Jim) Kern of Fulton, Dakota McGee of Fulton, Steve McGee of Columbia, and Kristi McGee of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Dillon Baumgartner, Bailey Baumgartner, Jacob Kern, Jaren Kern, Kingston Ferguson, Marley Ferguson and Tori McGee; great-great-grandchild, Hadleigh Baumgartner; sister, Dorothy Rhea of Trenton, Florida along with many nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
