Richard was born on November 12, 1949 in Callaway County, MO the son of Paris Dillon and Edith Williamson who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on September 10, 2005 in Fulton, MO to Shirley Furlong. He retired from Fulton Public School in the maintenance department. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and doing yard work. He also enjoyed watching western tv shows and spending time with his family.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Dillon of the home; two sons, Darrell Dillon of Fulton, MO and Darren Dillon (Jamie) of Fulton, MO; one brother, Terry O’Neal (Edna) of Williamsburg, MO; one sister, Billie Jean Williams of Columbia, MO; eight grandchildren, Johnathen, Mason, Samantha, Jordan, Jenna, Josh, Justin and Dalton and three great grandchildren, KJ, Tim and Addie. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Dillon; two brothers, Roger O’Neal and Nelson Dillon and two sisters, Brenda Trabue and Judy Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
