Sharon Gelene Anders

She was born July 5, 1943, in St Joseph, MO, to the late George & Leona Loar. She married Donald Lee Anders in St. Joseph on June 9, 1962. Sharon graduated from Drury College and later received her Masters of Education from Lincoln University. She served on the Home Mission Board as a home missionary and worked nearly 30 years for the Jefferson City Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her sister, JoAnn Rajca. She is survived by her son, Scott (Tracy) Anders of St. Louis, MO; her three daughters: Christina (Marshall) Matsiga of Baltimore, MD, Angela (Jim) Hill of Santa Fe, NM, and Amy (Jason) Werges of Grain Valley, MO; her brother, George (Leslie) Loar of Wardsville, MO; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie, MO on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm with a visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Dry Fork Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sharon’s name to Dry Fork Baptist Church, 8221 County Road 363, New Bloomfield, MO 65063.
