Art Howell

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Art Howell, 80, of Rainbow City, who passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Chaplain Gary Evans will officiate. The family will accept friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Howell attended and graduated from Ole Miss. He was a Navy SEAL and acted as photographer for them as well. Mr. Howell was also an official on the Alabama Wagon Train and organized his own National Trail Ride Association.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Parske Howell; sons, Terrell (Linda) Howell, Rick Parske, and Randy (Lori) Parske; daughters, Debbie and Crystal; grandchildren, Andrew Howell, Erik (Carrie)Howell, Riley Howell, Jacob Parske, Dylan (Cassie) Parske, Leeah Parske, Davin (Jerry) Watts, Kaylor Parske, and Kyle Parske; great-grandchildren, Haylen, Addison, and Liam; brother, Jack Howell; sister, Sherry Howell; chosen granddaughter, Bree Hardman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
