Beatrice Walley Phelps

Funeral Services will be at 11 am Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Beatrice Walley Phelps, age 88, of Gadsden who passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015. Rev. Jimmy Bailey and Rev. J. B. Dunn will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation services will direct.

Mrs. Phelps was a member of Reed Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed crochet, quilting and being a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Phelps, daughter, Carolyn E. Ward, grandson, Charles D. Woodward, III, parents, Robert Annie Walley, sister, Martha Scales and brothers, Rev. John Walley and Leonard Walley.

She is survived by her daugther, Barbara Jester, grandchildren, Michael Jester, Angelia W. Pino, Pamela Davis, Ronald Ward, Jr., great grandchildren, Kaylee Woodward, Samantha Pino, Anthony Pino, Jr., Tia Woodward, Brandon, Tony and Ashlie Ward, sisters, Emma Johnson and Irene Lyles and brother, Lonnie W. Wally. Several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank Alacare Home Health Service, Dr. Edwin Peyton and staff of Healthsouth.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
