Bobbie Ann Barksdale Gladden

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for Bobbie Ann Barksdale Gladden, 77, Gadsden, who passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Billy Boatwright will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Bobbie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She worked for many years in a local nursing home in housekeeping where she developed lifelong friendships. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending The Gospel Temple Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Herston; son, Chris; daughter, Deborah; grandson, Brandon Richey; parents, J.B. and Essie Barksdale; brother, David Barksdale.

She is survived by daughter, Charlene; grandchildren, Paige Richey, Todd Richey, Amy (Tim) Holder, Brandi (Moose) Whalen; and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jordan, Kayla, Bronson, Neal, Logan and Luke; sisters, Lois (Marc) Johnson, Wanda (Dale) Stratford, Ethel Collins; and many nieces, nephews and friends; also, former son-in-law, Mark Richey.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Mrs. Gladden will lie in state for one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
