

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Bobby Thomas Alford, 80, of Gadsden who passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. Rev. Michael G. Alford will officiate. Burial will be at First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Alford was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He loved racing and gardening. As a carpenter he built many houses and he also worked at an asphalt plant.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pat Alford; father, Roy Alford; mother, Alma May Morris; brothers, Donald and Travis Alford and sister, Faye Alford Hughes.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Becky) Alford, Tommy (Gail) Alford, Deanna (Avery) Pruitt, Denise (Joe) Pollard, Amanda Alford, and Christopher Alford; grandchildren, Jonathan Alford, Brian Alford, Justin Alford; Daniel Alford, Tabatha Woods, Taylor Woods, Lauren Nelson, Jesse Pruitt, Thomas Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt, Brandi Alford, JoJo Alford, Miranda Alford, Brenda Pollard, Joseph Pollard, and Courtney Alford; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Alford, and Judson Alford; and sisters, Janice Alford, Carolyn Tucker, and Sybil Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan, Brian and Justin Alford, Bobby Pruitt, Wayne Morris, and Jim Hunter.
