Bobby Wayne Bruce Sr.

Funeral services for Bobby Wayne Bruce, Sr. will be Wednesday at Collier Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 3:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Clayton Cemetery in Alabama City. Reverend David Carroll will officiate.

Bobby was born June 13, 1953, in Gadsden, Al. He was a 1971 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 45 1/2 years. He was also a member of Malone Baptist Church.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Nellie Bruce; his parents, Verbon “Bob” and Daisy Bruce; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Nettie Watson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Watson Bruce; sons, Bobby (Jessica) and Brandon (Stacy); grandchildren, Benjamin, Jaxon, Elizabeth, Evelynn, Nathan, Abbi and Rachelle and a host of extended family.

Pallbearers will be Bobby, Brandon, Benjamin and Jaxon Bruce, Steve Dutton, and Justus Venn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Whitt, Bennie Willmore, Jerry Anderson and Tony Hulsey.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 4th floor and PCU staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center and Enhabit Home Health and Hospice staff.
