Born July 11, 1947, to the late Fred and Katherine McGinnis, Brenda was a lifelong resident of Glencoe. She attended Gadsden City Schools and graduated from Gadsden High School in 1965. She continued her education at Gadsden State and Auburn University, earning a degree in education.
Brenda dedicated many years of her life to teaching at General Forrest Middle School until 1982, when she chose to devote her time fully to her family as a loving mother and homemaker.
She was a faithful member of North Glencoe Baptist Church for many years, where she was deeply involved in the music ministry, serving as a pianist, organist, and choir member. Most recently, she attended MeadowBrook Baptist Church, where she was uplifted by the choir and orchestra, the preaching of Bro. Randy Gunter, and the teaching of Bro. Cary Herring.
Her life’s emphasis was to live a godly life, and she poured her love and devotion into her family. She loved the Atlanta Braves and Auburn football, and she cherished time spent with her family above all else.
