Brenda Gail Wright

Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm, Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright graduated from Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden. She then moved to Georgia where she earned her Associate's Degree from Gwinnett Technical College. She worked as Secretary to the Gwinnett County Fire Chief and retired from the Gwinnett County Board of Education. She enjoyed playing the dulcimer, tending to her garden, and was an avid traveler. She also enjoyed genealogy research and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Barron; her father, Herman Tyler; and her brother, Bruce Tyler.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Wright; children, Phillip Wright and Becky (Joel) Weatherholtz; grandchildren, Holly (R.T.) Smith, Aubrey (Brittany) Wright, Russell (Murphy) Corley, Leanna Wright, Bobby (Kristy) Wright, Taylor Wilson, Josh McElwaney, Jacob Weatherholtz, Sara Weatherholtz; great grandchildren, Amelia & Lilly Wright, Nash & Sawyer Corley, Kairi Smith, Myla McElwaney; dear friend, Linda (Jerry) Heard.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the hour of service at the funeral home on Sunday.
