Bryant worked with me at The Factory. We always sit down and make goals and talk about personality strengths and weaknesses with our employees when they are hired. When me and Bryant sat down to make his goals he said he would be a manager in less than six months. He had so much ambition and he was so full of life. When we talked about his strengths and weaknesses, I remember telling him the potential we saw in him was so big. He smiled and with tears rolling down his cheeks said he knew it was. He gave me big hug before he left. He was a friend to everyone he met. I remember afterwards thinking that he would do something so big. Bryant being himself was so big. He was so charismatic and such a light to everyone. He will be so missed.

I remember when Greg Barnard was acting stupid and he tackled him at football practice and the game then next day Greg’s dad was acting a fool and Bryant said want me to get em coach: we love you Bryant I’ll always jump off the yard for you.

I remember when me and bryant first started talking last year. He was such a good guy and was always the life of the party. Nobody will ever be able to take his place in this world. Loved the many conversations we had. I’ll
Miss you Bryant. All of us will.

The countless hours I spent at the gym with him and our talks and jokes in the parking lot for hours after. And all the time we spent together with the thunderhouse guys. 

How shocked and sad I was to hear of your beloved son's passing. May G-d be with your entire family. 

I didnt know Bryant Enough to be a good friend but when I did talk to him he wasnt like anyone else he was the nicest person I ever talked to I wish every thing for him now 

Bryant was well known,  he was known for his kindness , love ,loyalty and leadership.  Bryant was much more than just a friend to me and to many more! Bryant was a provider a lover a fighter a kind caring soul ,  he was my brother. A brother that I will forever cherish and love unconditionally.  May Bryant finish living out his life here through me.  All of my condolences got out to his father , mother , Sister and brother and close family and friends. Rest easy little brother. I love you the most! 

I’ve never met a more caring person in my life. Words cannot describe the impact he had on many people including myself. His smile lit up the room. He will forever be remembered and loved. Prayers to the family and all of his friends who are hurting. We miss him dearly. 

Iam Heart Broken for you and your family !! He was a wonderful young man ! His smile brightened  up a room !! I work at Texaco ! When he came in he was always so kind never just bought something and walked out he would talk to me ! Told me about joining the Marines !  I will miss seeing that smile and the time he always took to talk to me !! Blessings and prayers for you all always !! 💕

I haven't seen Bryant since he was a Sophomore in high school, but I never forgot him, and I never will. I used to see him all the time at Andy's guitar shop and at school, and we would strike up conversations about mutual interests like music and videogames. He was such a bright guy, super helpful, friendly, open-minded, encouraging, and intensely creative - probably more than he let on. I remember being inspired by his potential, and hoping that he would continue to explore his interest in music; I hope that he had time to do that between the time when I last saw him and now. He has made a mark on my heart, like so many others, and I'll remember him and be inspired by who he was for a long time.

Bryant was my savings grace. I was bullied when I was younger and he pulled me out of such a low time in my life.  He will forever be in my heart.

Me,  Alex Freeman, and Bryant were all jumping on my trampoline. Me and Alex talked Bryant into doing a backflip. So he tries it, and flys off the side of the trampoline and landed on my dogs pillows

Me and Bryant were riding our bikes and decided it would be a great idea to ding dong ditch my own house. Bryant was knocking and accidentally busted my front glass out. We then thought it would be a good idea to run not thinking that it was my own house. 

My heart aches for you. My soul grieves for you. My spirit prays for you...and your family. 

I am so sorry for your loss.  Bryant was a outstanding young man.  He will never be forgotten.  Sending my thoughts and prayers to the entire family and all of his friends.

Funeral Service

Bryant Matthew Alverson, age 18, of Southside, Alabama passed away on Friday May 3, 2019. The family will receive friends at Southside Baptist Church Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 11am to 1pm followed by funeral service at 1pm. Rev. Matt Wethington, Pastor Michael Knight, and Pastor Kyle Cantrell will officiate. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct.
Bryant was a senior at Southside High School. He was a former member of the football team and wrestling team but currently enjoyed music, hunting, fishing, and cars. He loved the outdoors and campfires with his buddies. He had enlisted with the US Marine Corps following in the footsteps of his five cousins and numerous military family members. 
He is survived by his mother Dr. Jennifer Alverson; father Andy (Ashli) Alverson; brother Jake Alverson, sister Jerrica Alverson, stepsister Alexis Duke, and stepbrother Hunter Green; girlfriend Katey Wissler; special aunts Katherine “KK” (Richard) Butler and Jessica (Jim) Farmer, as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins; step grandparents Jeff Jenkins and Wendy (Jeff) McDaniel; and many friends, especially his Thunderhouse Buddies.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Mary Ruth and Hubert Alverson, Aline Bryant Alverson, Kathleen and Edward McCrory.
Honorary pallbearers are his Thunderhouse Buddies and classmates of Southside High School Class of 2019.
