Carl Arthur Fox

Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Carl A. Fox, 87, Attalla, who passed away Friday, December 22, 2017. Rev. Charles Beshears officiating with burial at Black Creek Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mr. Fox was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church and retired from W & J Body Shop.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Fox and son, Kenneth Fox.

Survivors include his children, Donnie (Martha) Upton; Jan (Tony) King; Sandy (Garry) Smith and Mike Fox; grandchildren, Thelma Lynn Fox Okello; Tera (Lynn) Fortenberry; Jennifer (Dennis) Bickerstaff; Laura (David) Robinson and Bo (Mandy) Doeg; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Smith; Robert Fox; Marvin Garrett; Bo Doeg; Koty Fortenberry; Lynn Fortenberry and Gary Van Garrett. Honorary Pallbearers will be all personal friends. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Association. Special thanks to Collinsville Rehab staff for their love, care and support, which was appreciated more than words can express, Drs. Kwan, Baum, Huang, Kaleem and McGwier who gave the greatest care; Alacare of Gadsden; Nurse Holly Smith and Crystal Pruitt and Manuel, best friend forever. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
