Carolyn Boozer Hightower

Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Carolyn Boozer Hightower, 71, of Gadsden who passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. Rev. Tim Holland and Rev. Tony McGowan will officiate with burial to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge.

Mrs. Hightower’s hobbies included bowling, making decoration flowers, cooking and singing at church. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and had worked at McGuffey Health Care Center for 23 years as a CNA and in the therapy department.

She was an avid Auburn and race car fan and was a proud Dale, Jr. supporter.

Mrs. Hightower was preceded in death by her parents James Boozer, Sr. and Ruby Lucille Boozer, brother, Ray Boozer and grandpup, Doc.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Billy Hightower; daughter, Mary Jo (Charles) Autrey; sisters, Mary Nell Martin and Kathy Brothers; brother, James (Glenda) Boozer; grandpups, Smokey and Stella and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Charles Easterly, John Autrey, Lloyd Hightower, Nick Gregory, James Gregory and Matthew Gregory.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alacare Home Health and Hospice; Midtown Pharmacy with special thanks to Crissy and Heather; Physicians Apothocary and Complete Medical Care.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
