

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Charles Fredrick (Fred) Kah, age 69, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010. The Rev.Van Lockridge will officiate with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Fred attended Gadsden High School and Emma Sansom High School and was a graduate of Jacksonville State University. He was retired from Republic Steel and he owned and operated B & K Auto Parts for many years. Fred was an avid Alabama fan and he was a regular at The Waffle House always seen reading his newspaper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis C. (Hank) Kah; his mother, Grace Montile Kah; and brother, Danny Joe Kah.
He is survived by his son, Mark Edward (Eddie) Kah and daughter-in-law, Jane Chesnut Kah. He is also survived by his nephew, Sean Kah and niece, Sheena Kah.
Pallbearers will be Sean Kah, Jeffery E. Green, Jimmy (Big Toe) Luttrell, William A. (Bill) Luttrell, David (Little Toe) Luttrell, Sr. and David Luttrell, Jr.
Honorary pallbearer will be Sidney J. Green.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honor of Bayleigh Phillips to: Children’s Hospital Fund, 1600 7th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
