Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Collier-Butler Chapel at 2:00 p.m. for Clela Runyans Dodd, 78, of Ashville, who passed away on July 3, 2012. Rev. Billy Hunt will officiate with burial in Ashville Cemetery.
Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Dodd, her parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Diane (Mike) Davis and Ms. Kay Dodd, 3 adored grandchildren, Kim Davis, Tim Davis and Jessica Kuykendall and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dodd was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashville.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carolyn Williams, longtime caregiver and friend. Thanks also to New Beacon Hospice and sitters; Peggy Williams, Jeanette Richardson and Theresa Parker and to Pastor Robert McClung for his spiritual guidance during this difficult time.
Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service.
