He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda Tigue Elliott; daughters, Brandi (Brent) Ragan and Nikki (David) Stone; his grandchildren, Stone and Chase Ragan, Valencia Ray, and Raylen, Lyrriel, and Kira Stone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Fred and Shelby Elliott.
Danny was a steel worker and union representative for many years prior to his career as a Corrections Officer.
He was a full time caregiver and loyal partner to his wife Rhonda. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Alabama football. He also loved coaching children's sports and coached many teams over the past 40 years, including teams for his children & grandchildren. Danny had only recently begun to attend church again regularly, but his faith in his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, never wavered.
Services will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26th at 2:00pm. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM.
