Dear Nichols family,  My name is Peggy (Ellis) Cox and I am so sorry for you loss. Dennis and his family were my childhood neighbors. We had so many wonderful times together growing up.  Dennis and I both loved music so much and we would spend hours at his piano. He was so much fun and had a great personality that you could only love. I know that he has blessed so many others during his ministry and he is now with our Creator. I am sure that he is leading the choir of angels in heaven. Every note just perfect !!! You all will be in my prayers and we will can rejoice to know that we will see him again. God Bless and comfort you.

Linda:  I just heard about Dennis from the GTS newsletter.  I am so sorry to hear about this.  I have such happy memories of our times at GTS and 815 (frustrated and furious, though we often were!).  Still we shared such an important piece of our journey together.  I was so fond of both of you.  My prayers are with you and the girls.

Sorry to hear about Dennis. I went to high school with him at Staunton River and worked at Busy Bee Day Care when Ashley was there. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family...

Linda, I was surprised and saddened to read the obituary in our paper. Just last week I had thought about you and wondered where you all were living now. I know many folks at Peakland UMC will remember you and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We wish that there were some way we could help. Joe and I offer our deepest sympathy to you and your girls in this time of loss.

He was my Rector, and my friend, and I grew to appreciate him in a big way in a short time. I will see him again and will get to know him better.  My love to Linda and all of the family...may God bless and keep you.

I have been attending Holy Comforter about a year now. Unfortunately, I never got toknow Father Dennis outside of church on Sunday, but his ministry made a difference to me. He provided clarity on the "hard sayings" such as his explanation of salvation. It is a gift but God has expectations. You cant have faith and not do something about it. Fr. Dennis will be greatly missed and one day I WILL get to know him. My deepest condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Father Nichols.  He was so kind to my family In New Jersey.  I pray for the Nichol's family.
