Doris Hopper Wright

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Doris Wright, age 84, of Altoona Healthcare, who went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 10, 2016. Rev. Dan Maddox and J. D. Nash will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Jeanette Riddlebarger. Burial will be at Samuels Chapel Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Doris was born April 29, 1932 to Dempsey and Etha Hopper who preceded her in death along with her husband, Ed Wright; son Robert Wright; brothers, Homer Lee and Delbert Hopper; sisters, Helen Hopper and Beatrice Marrow.

Doris is survived by her daughter-in-law, Laura Wright of Chapel hill, NC; sisters, Christine Nash of Gadsden, Corene Burkacki of Walnut Grove, Annette (Herman) Kilcoyne, and Jeannette Riddlebarger both of Michigan; brother, Walter (Linda) Hopper of Southside; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris loved to laugh. You could hardly get together with Doris without finding something to laugh about. Doris loved reminiscing with you about fun times shared with family and friends. Doris loved her church family and was a member of The Tabernacle.

Pallbearers will be Josh Nash, Roy Marrow, Kenny Carson, Clarence Hopper, Randy Nash and David Nash.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
