Doris Jean Wettlin, age 91, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. A private service will be held for the family. Brother Lauil Thompson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Doris was a graduate of Gadsden High School. She was a great business woman, and was the original owners of Oasis on the Drive, The Warehouse, and Courtyard Café. Doris loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David D. Wettlin; daughter, Meredith Johnson; son, Mark Johnson; sister, Barbara Johnson; and brother, Harold Smith.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Sheri Jenkins; son, Lee Johnson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Johnson; grandchildren, David (Becky) Swann, Leanne (Bryan) Reingruber, Kaylee Johnson (Jordan) Dill, Daniel Johnson, and Dustin Alexander; and eight great grandchildren.
