
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy L. Culli, 90, of Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014. Rev. John Copeland will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Culli was a faithful member of James Memorial Baptist Church since 1957, where she served as Secretary and Treasurer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Phillip J. Culli; unborn son; parents, Dee and Pearl Lancaster; and brothers, D.F. Lancaster and Horace Lancaster.
She is survived by her children, Lura Ann Norton, Raymond A. Culli and Anita (Jim) Kennedy; grandchildren, Michael Culli, Brandon Culli, Kim (John) French, Laura (Brad) Creswell and Leslie (Justin) Freeman; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; special cousin, Marie Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; and sisters-in-law, Lura "Tis" Culli and Dannie Lancaster.
Flowers will be accepted; however, memorials to James Memorial Baptist Church are preferred.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice; her caregiver, Jamie Stancil, who became like a daughter to Mrs. Culli.
The family will accept friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
