

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy “Dot” Martin Winningham, 78, of Rainbow City, who went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2010. Pastor Gary Walker, Bobby Joe Winningham and Robbie Edwards will officiate with burial at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Southside. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.
She was a 1950 graduate of Etowah High School and worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. and Buck’s Boats for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rainbow City.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Thomas Winningham, her brother, Jack Martin, mother, Annie Sue Cole, father Aubrey Martin, father and mother-in-law, Elbert and Ruth Winningham, and sister-in-law, Ann Winningham.
She is survived by her children, Annette Harmon, Judy Shields and Chris and Beverly Winningham, all of Rainbow City. She was a very special “Nanny” to her loving grandchildren, Kelly Harmon, Matthew Shields , Hannah and Dylan Winningham; aunts, Edna Martin Rose and Betty Sue McEntyre; brother-in-law, Donald Winningham, Bobby Joe (Bobbie Jean) Winningham, Hoyt Winningham, and David (Artie) Winningham; cousins numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Donnie, Jason, Brian, Blake, Buster, and Joey Winningham. Honorary pallbearers will be friends at Riverbend Baptist Church, Rainbow City Senior Group, Sears’s retirees and employees of Buck’s Boats.
The family will be accepting flowers, and be receiving friends Saturday from 5pm until 7 pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
