

Miss Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 plus years, Emmett D. Westmoreland. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Roxie Bradley; father, James A. Bradley; brothers, Ray Bradley, and James A. Bradley, Jr. of Gadsden, AL; sister, Edith (Bradley) Bookhamer of Dayton, OH; nephew, Dennis James Hammonds; great-nephew, Dennis James Hammonds II; nephew, Roy Kenneth Hammonds; great-niece, Chrissy Hammonds, all of Dayton, OH.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Jo (Bradley) Miller; niece, Judie (Hammonds) Kell (William) of Dayton, OH; nephew, David Bradley (Allison); great-nephews, Owen Bradley of Birmingham, AL, and Joseph W. Kell (Alex) of Dayton, OH; great-great-nephews, Alexander James Kell, and Anthony Jasper Kell of Dayton, OH; and great-nephew, Kenny Hammonds (Dusty).
Dottie was a Majorette and band member at Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, AL. Ms. Dottie worked at Republic Steel for 30 years. Miss Dottie and Emmett were sports fan and band music lovers. Miss Dottie enjoyed bowling (Team Captain). Gardening, flower arranging and other crafts. She so enjoyed watching the birds, especially Hummingbirds. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed feeding the tiny avians.
Miss Dottie will be flown back to Gadsden, AL from Dayton, OH where she will be buried at Forrest Cemetery alongside her loving husband, Emmett, who passed in 1998. Miss Dottie was a member of Union Hill United Methodist Church, Gadsden.
Viewing will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017. Services will immediately follow. Refreshments will be served before and after the service. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery.
