Ella Ann Pruitt

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Ann Pruitt, 74, of Gadsden, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016, at The Tabernacle Church. Brother Arnold and Brother Tommy Marshal will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery on Tabor Road in Gadsden. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Pruitt passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016.

She was a life-long resident of Gadsden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Pruitt contributed to the community by preparing biscuits and hostessing at the Noccalula Falls Jack’s for 10 years. She was a seamstress at Health Tex and Center Star for 30 years.

Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Wallace “Jimmy” Pruitt.

She is survived by her son, Wally Pruitt (Annette); daughter, Belinda Tribble (Michael); sisters, Barbara Strickland, Mae Nichols and Harold Cash (Doris); sister-in-laws, Irene Nichols and Jerine Cash; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Mrs. Pruitt will also lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
