She is there with her husband and best friend, Alexander Samuel Harrison; sister, Dr. Frances McClain and Dr. Thirwell Nolen; parents, Berta Ellen and Minet Polk McClain; brother, Howard T. and Dot McClain; son-in-law, W.H. (Mac) McCollum; and many other family and friends.

Harrison and Mary Heller; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Evelyn was a member of First United Methodist Church for 50 years and transferred to Southside United Methodist Church for the last 15 years of service to the Lord. She was a graduate of Gaston High School and Birmingham Baptist Nursing School. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital (ER and Fourth Floor) and also at the old Baptist Hospital. She was one of the most caring, compassionate nurses for many people of Gadsden. She loved her family and friends and is now at peace. She always said, "Actions speak louder than words!" So please spend time with your family, do nice things for strangers and hold your memories close!
