

Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Michael Bettis; her grandparents, Eddie and Ella McDowell and Izeta and Charlie Bartz; and her sister, Marilyn Taylor.
She is survived by her loving son, Mike Bettis (Darlene); granddaughter, Joni Bettis Rowland; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Flora, and Virginia Ann Rowland; her sister-in-law, Marsha Guivas; along with several extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Faye attended school in Waverly and worked for many years as a hairdresser, where she loved visiting with people and forming lasting friendships. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, working puzzles, and spending time with her beloved dog, Spike. Above all, Faye treasured her family and the simple joys of life.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Bro. John Copeland will officiate. Burial will follow at Hokes Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Beavers, Kenny Bates, Rick Messer, Braxton Rowland, Michael Rowland, and Mark James.
Faye will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
