

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Gail Duke Jenkins, 70, of Glencoe, who passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Rev. David Denson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Gail was born in July 7, 1942 in Gadsden. Gail graduated from Gadsden High School in 1960. She married John ‘Doug’ Jenkins in 1960, and resided in Glencoe since 1966.
Gail was a faithful member of North Glencoe Baptist Church and the North Glencoe Baptist Church Choir. She treasured life, family and friends.
Gail is preceded by her parents Burvin and Mildred Duke, her sister Reba and Denny Jones, and one daughter Lori Ann. She is survived by her husband Doug Jenkins; brother Paul and Sybil Duke of Sardis; and children: John ‘Mike’ and Cindy Jenkins of Houston, TX; Chuck Jenkins of Glencoe; Joe and Michelle Jenkins of Houston, TX; Shana Gilmore Massey and Kristy Jenkins of Glencoe. She also is survived by eight grandchildren: Heather (Landon) Montgomery, Kaci Jenkins, Jessica (Zack) Wagnon, Leah, Ashley, Kara, Hailey and Jacob Jenkins; and five great-grandchildren: Garrett, Connor and Kinlee Montgomery, and Levi and Lukas Wagnon.
The family wants to extend their gratitude and appreciation to her many friends and a special thanks to Kerri and Brittany of Amedisys.
Pallbearers will be: Landon Montgomery, Zack Wagnon, Brian Jaggers, Kevin Jaggers, Phillip Hayes, and Bobby Jordan.
Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the funeral home.
